CityLit Festival at Pratt Library

Each April, in partnership with Pratt Library, CityLit Project presents its signature event: CityLit Festival.  The day-long celebration of literature includes concurrent programming in five different spaces throughout the library.  The list of amazing headliners includes Pulitzer winners Edward P. Jones, Steve Cull, and Junot Diaz; National Book Award winners Mark Doty and Jaimy Gordon; Maryland State Poet Laureates Michael Glaser and Stanley Plumly; and notable authors Thomas Glave, Laura Lippman, Tyehimba Jess, Quincy Troupe, Afaa Michael Weaver, Michael Collier, Jessica Anya Blau, Dudley Clendinen, Dan Fesperman, Elizabeth Kostova, and Dr. Ben Carson.

The bustling Literary Marketplace provides free exhibit space to the area’s diverse community of self-published authors, small presses, literary journals, and organizations.

Baltimore magazine named CityLit Festival “a can’t miss event on the city’s cultural scene.”
