NOTE TO CITYLIT'S FRIENDS: We are no longer able to offer craft or professional development workshops at this time.  Thanks for your support over the past ten years, and stay tuned for new books, readings, festivals, and news from CityLit. -- CityLit Project

Since 2005, CityLit WriteShops (formerly "Write Here, Write Now") have created a community of writers in Baltimore where participants develop their voices and their literary art in an non-academic setting. Experienced instructors offer constructive feedback and encouragement, but also push writers to excel and explore. Multi-week and one-day sessions in various genres explore technique, craft, and professional development. Participants have read their work at public events, contributed to a professionally published anthology, and entered MFA writing programs.
